FaZe House for the New York Times
MYND Workshop embarked on a distinctive project for The New York Times, focusing on the FaZe Clan house in Los Angeles, California. The FaZe Clan, a group of professional gamers and content creators known for their influence in the gaming community, reside in a house that reflects their dynamic lifestyle and culture. The aim of the project was not just to capture the physical structure of the house, but to encapsulate the vibrant energy and character of its inhabitants.

Utilizing a combination of LiDAR and Photogrammetry techniques, MYND Workshop meticulously documented the interior and exterior of the FaZe Clan residence. The LiDAR scanning process allowed for the creation of an accurate 3D model of the house, capturing its layout and spatial dynamics. Photogrammetry added a layer of visual detail to the model, ensuring that the aesthetic elements associated with the FaZe Clan's lifestyle were vividly represented.
The digital twin created from this 3D environment scanning process was then used in an interactive article on The New York Times website. This innovative feature allowed readers to virtually explore the FaZe Clan house, navigating through different rooms and getting a glimpse into the life of some of the most prominent figures in the gaming world. The interactive model provided an immersive experience, bridging the gap between the readers and the world of professional gaming housed within the walls of the FaZe Clan residence.
This project highlights MYND Workshop's ability to adapt 3D scanning and modeling technologies to capture not just spaces, but the stories and personalities that inhabit them. It demonstrates how digital modeling can be used in journalism and storytelling, offering audiences new ways to engage with content.
