New York Stock Exchange
MYND Workshop undertook a prestigious project at the heart of the financial world, the iconic New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) located in the bustling streets of Lower Manhattan, New York City. Tasked with a private lighting study that demanded precision and attention to detail, MYND Workshop employed state-of-the-art laser scanning technology to capture both the majestic exterior and the intricate interiors of the NYSE, a landmark of immense historic and architectural significance.
The comprehensive scanning process meticulously recorded every facet of the building's architecture, creating an extensive point cloud data set that served as the foundation for the subsequent stages of the study. This data was skillfully converted into various file types to meet the diverse needs of the lighting analysis, ensuring that every element of the study was backed by accurate and reliable information.
A notable outcome of this project was the creation of a detailed 3D mesh that encompassed the entire Lower Manhattan area, offering an unprecedented view of the urban landscape surrounding the NYSE. Additionally, a highly detailed 3D Revit model of the Stock Exchange building itself was developed, showcasing the intricate details of its architecture and providing a valuable tool for the lighting study.
This project exemplifies the fusion of advanced technology with the preservation of historical architecture, allowing for an in-depth analysis of lighting in one of the world's most iconic buildings. Through the meticulous documentation and modeling processes, MYND Workshop not only contributed to the practical aspects of the lighting study but also ensured the preservation of the architectural integrity of the New York Stock Exchange for future generations.
